Eligibility Criteria for Undergraduate Program Applicants

To apply for MIU’s undergraduate programs, candidates must meet the following requirements:

• • All applicants must have completed or be expected to complete high school, secondary education or an equivalent education prior to their enrollment.
• • GEE certificate and its applicable period shall follow the duration stipulated by the Mongolian Educational Evaluation Center (EEC).
• • The minimum required scores for the core and supplementary subjects of the General Entrance Examination shall be 450 or 490 and above, depending on the program of study to which the applicant is applying.
• • Mongolian citizens who have completed general secondary education abroad are eligible to apply for admission to the undergraduate program. In such cases, the university shall adhere to the "Procedure for Equating International Examination Scores with the General Entrance Examination Scores of Mongolia," approved by Order No. A/347 of the Minister of Education and Science dated October 6, 2021.
• • Graduates of general secondary schools offering international programs may choose to have their international examination scores equated with the General entrance examination scores or apply with the higher of either their equated international scores or their General entrance examination results for admission to the university.
• • If an applicant fails the skill test but successfully passes the MIU Placement Exam, the applicant may register for the second choice of a different major. If the second choice program requires a skill test, the applicant shall take and pass the skill test in order to enroll into MIU.
